What can we do this Christmas in Andorra? What will the restaurant opening hours be? Will I be able to go to Catalonia or France to see my relatives?
ASSAP informs you of all the measures (updated on 21/12/2020).
What measures will be taken in Andorra? (Measures from December 24 to January 6)
- Every citizen of Andorra will be able to take two antigen tests before family gatherings (if the test is positive, they will have to contact the Health Service).
- Family gatherings may not exceed the number of 10 people (in private places or restaurants) and we can only meet with our relatives twice (24th at night, 25th and 26th at noon, 31st at night, January 1st and 6th at noon).
- On other days, only 4 people may meet at a table unless the household size is larger.
- In restaurants, it is mandatory to maintain a safe distance between tables, keep the mask on until the moment of consumption and after meals.
- Restaurants open from 12 noon to 4 pm and from 7 pm to midnight (home delivery is allowed). Individual registration of customers will be carried out. On the 24th and 31st, closing hours will be extended until 1 am.
- Bars can provide table service between 7am and 7pm uninterruptedly outside. Inside, they must stop service to ventilate twice: between 12pm and 1pm and between 3pm and 4pm. The maximum number of people per table is 2 inside and 4 outside, except for cohabiting households. Individual registration of customers will be made and the separation between chairs must be at least 1.5m. Home delivery can be ordered at all time slots.
Will we be able to go to France? What measures will be in place?
- We will be able to move freely throughout French territory.
- There will be a curfew between 8 pm and 6 am except for the night of December 24.
- Restaurants and bars will remain closed throughout the Christmas period.
- Museums, theatres and cinemas will remain closed.
Will we be able to go to Catalonia? What measures will be in place?
- From December 21st there will be freedom of movement between Andorra and Alt Urgell.
- From Andorra we will be able to go to second homes and make reserved trips to Catalan territory (if the travel unit is the cohabitation unit).
- Meetings are limited to 6 people, except during Christmas holidays, when a maximum of 10 people, including children, and a maximum of two cohabitation bubbles may meet.
- The curfew remains at 10pm except on the nights of the 24th and 31st, when it is extended until 1:30am and on Three Kings’ Night until 11pm.
- Bars and restaurants will only be able to open to serve breakfast and lunch between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., in the first case, and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the second.
- Takeaway restaurants will be able to serve dinner. In this case, the hours will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. if the customer comes to pick up the order and until 11 p.m. if the establishment has a home delivery service. Tables must be for a maximum of 4 people (6 if they are from the same cohabitation bubble) and there must be a minimum distance of 2 meters between tables.
- Wearing a mask is mandatory when not eating or drinking. It is recommended to use terraces and increase ventilation in the premises.
