“Sant Jordi” in Barcelona

Every April 23, Barcelona celebrates Sant Jordi day and is filled with stalls selling books and roses. If you have the chance to go to Barcelona on this day, it is a day to enjoy this magnificent and nearby city.   • Reading proclamation

The Barcelona Libraries Consortium is organizing the reading announcement, which this year will be given by the writer Mia Couto.

  • Visit the Town Hall

From 10am to 6pm, Barcelona City Hall will open its doors to everyone. The tour will begin at the door on Carrer de la Ciutat (Gothic facade).

  • Entrance to the Sagrada Familia

If your names are Jordi, Jordina or Georgina, you can enjoy free entry.

  • The most beautiful books

The “Artist’s Book and Small Edition” Festival will be present all day in Plaça Sant Just with stalls, where they will present works by international authors.

  • Collective kiss

Òmnium Cultural and around twenty LGBTI entities, with the motto “Estima com vulguis”, located in the Universitat square. There will be activities, workshops, literature, DJs, a kissing contest and dance shows.
