Processing an accident involving your vehicle with the insurance company

What is a friendly accident declaration (DAA)?

It is a document whose main objective is to expedite the processing of material damages caused by the use of motor vehicles.

Generally, when we take out car and/or motorcycle insurance , we are given a copy of the DAA , along with the policy and the terms and conditions of the contracted product .

We recommend that you follow these instructions:

Write clearly: fill in the details in capital letters and avoid confusing the details of vehicle A ( blue background column ) with those of vehicle B ( yellow background column ).

Fill in as much information as possible.

  • Look carefully at the central column , which determines the circumstances of the accident .
  • If there are witnesses to the accident , write down their phone number and address .
  • If there are injuries or more vehicles involved , fill out the corresponding section.
  • Draw a sketch of the accident scene , as close to reality as possible.
  • Sign the document and make sure that the other driver does so as well, and that he keeps a copy of it, and the original will be the one you will have to take to your insurance company .

  • Cass Supplement : Through the data authorization , a document that is signed when taking out the policy , the Cass automatically transfers all medical reports and health expenses to the company for payment . In other words, the insured does not need to provide any document to the insurer , unless the latter requires a specific document.
  • Subsidy : The originals ( discharge and/or extensions ) issued to the employee must always be provided.
