Free online activities during confinement

Now that we have to stay at home all day , you will surely have moments where you wonder what else you could do. We have so much free time ( especially those who do not have children ) that there comes a time when you feel like you have already done everything or that your imagination has run out of things.

Previously we gave you ideas for doing fun activities with children , but what about us adults ? Here are some ideas that you can put into practice during the duration of the confinement due to Covid -19 :

  • Redecorating your house/apartment : You’ve probably thought about moving a piece of furniture in your living room or painting the walls of your house in a different colour, because now is the best time to put it into practice. We know that there are materials that you can’t buy to make these kinds of changes, but you can surely use what you have at home to give a new look to any place in your house, changing its location, distributing the space or even taking advantage of it and cleaning out the cupboards.
  • Discover a series/film : Now is the time to start with a series that we had not been able to see or a film that we have left on our to-watch list. Platforms such as Netflix , HBO or even YouTube can be of great help, since they offer a list of options for all tastes.
  • Books : During confinement, many libraries or stores have launched free online books, take advantage of this opportunity to find the one you like the most and discover new stories and/or adventures.
  • Museum tours : Yes, it is possible. Many museums offer free virtual tours to discover their most interesting corners. Museums offer these tours on their websites. There is also this Google Arts & Culture tool that has a spectacular art catalogue.
  • Plays : On the free platform www.myoperaplayer.com with the code “OperaEnCasa” , you can enjoy different operas and theatre thanks to the Gran Teatro del Liceo and the Teatro Real.
  • Cooking recipes : It is also the time to discover new cooking recipes that you have never tried before, especially if you have children, they will love to experiment and help with this activity. On YouTube or Instagram you can find easy and original recipes.
  • Physical exercise : Whether you are one of those who already did it or one of those who have never done it, it is a good time to start or continue with physical exercise. On YouTube you can find many video tutorials to do it at home and above all there are examples with materials that we all have at home.
  • Mental exercise : If physical exercise is important, so is mental exercise. You can train your mind by doing sudoku puzzles, or crosswords.
  • Training your pet : If you have a dog, you can take advantage of the opportunity to train it during confinement. There are many apps that use videos to help you achieve this.
